Our Journey
Mixology Candle Bar started with a simple idea: candles shouldn't just be bought off a shelf, they should be made by you, for you.
Founder Ashley had always wanted to own her own business and loved bringing people together. For years she planned and hosted large events and parties for the company she worked for. The first time she discovered what a candle bar was, she went home and told her husband, "I have to open something like this." She loved that it was hands-on and creative, but also created something people could actually use and enjoy long after the experience was over. It felt like the perfect combination of creativity, connection, and fun.
What she didn't expect was how much science goes into making a great candle. There is a lot more to it than melting wax and adding fragrance. Learning about waxes, wicks, fragrance oils, temperatures, and burn testing, and how all of it works together, became one of her favorite parts of the journey.

Meet Ashley
After nearly 20 years in oil and gas, including time on the executive leadership team, she knew she wanted to build something more personal and meaningful. She wanted to create a space where people could slow down, be present, connect with one another, and simply have fun.
Her husband has always been her biggest cheerleader, supporting her ideas every step of the way. Her sister's marketing expertise has also helped us tremendously.
More than anything, she wants Mixology Candle Bar to be a warm, welcoming space where people can slow down, laugh, connect, and create something truly unique.
Her goal is to spread light, love, & kindness one candle and one guest at a time.
